Kankakee has gone a perfect 10-0 against Thornwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Kays will head out on the road to square off against the Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kankakee had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but Joliet Catholic put an end to it on Tuesday. The Kays lost 15-0 to the Hilltoppers. The defeat continues a trend for the Kays in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost four in a row.

Kankakee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Landis, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Landis hit this season.

Meanwhile, Thornwood came up short against Kankakee on Monday, falling 19-9.

Ashley Phillips stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Crain, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Kankakee's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Thornwood, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.
