With a playoff win on the line, Weleetka rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Shattuck Indians 64-14. Considering the Outlaws have won ten contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Weleetka had a senior duo take command as Bryant Sites gained 273 total yards and five touchdowns and Isaiah Drake threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Sites was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 65 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Hare, who gained 120 total yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Weleetka's defense and their three sacks. Jonah Roberts was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Weleetka's record is now 11-0. As for Shattuck, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
Weleetka will look to defend their home field on Friday against Waukomis at 7:00 p.m. Shattuck does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
