The Life Prep Fire suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-42 walloping at the hands of Legion Preparatory Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Life Prep has scored all season.
Legion Preparatory Academy can attribute much of their success to Neenah George, who scored 16 points. George continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Evans, who scored ten points.
Life Prep's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Legion Preparatory Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Prep will face off against Topeka at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Topeka will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 201st, while Life Prep is ranked second). Legion Preparatory Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Dallas Thunder at 6:30 p.m. on January 18th.
