The Wiggins Tigers will take on the Yuma Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiggins is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Yuma will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wiggins extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Tigers walked away with a 5-2 victory over Byers.

Karter Roberts and Alex Tarango were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Roberts struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Tarango pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. That's the most strikeouts Roberts has posted since back in March of 2025. At bat, Roberts went 1-for-3 with one run and one double, while Tarango got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Tarango has become a key player for Wiggins: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaac Flores, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Yuma fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wray on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 11-9. Indians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Tuesday.
Marvin Duarte made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Pensado, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Wiggins' win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Yuma, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Wiggins has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Yuma struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Wiggins beat Yuma 13-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
