The Ocosta Wildcats lost against the Forks Spartans on January 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Ocosta fell to Forks 57-51.
Tarren Lewis and Kayden Turner certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Lewis scored 25 points along with five steals, while Turner scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season.
Ocosta has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Forks, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocosta will take on Ilwaco at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ilwaco presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ocosta in Washington (Ilwaco is ranked 92nd, while Ocosta is ranked 323rd). As for Forks, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chief Leschi at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
