Spring Grove had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Hayfield on Monday. The Lions blew past the Vikings 12-2. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 20-0 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Spring Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Hayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Spring Grove will head out on the road to square off against Lyle/Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Athletics will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hayfield, they will square off against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
