Softball Recap: Kent Island Wins Going Away Against North Caroline

Kent Island made up a huge gap compared to their last game against North Caroline, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Buccaneers blew past the Bulldogs 15-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Abby Mahaffey was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Mahaffey wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Kent Island kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Kent Island's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Kent Island and North Caroline will both be playing Colonel Richardson the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Colonels at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Buccaneers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
