Lab University Prep National got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylen Claggett out in front who posted 19 points. Claggett's afternoon made it 17 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jordan Hunter was another key player, putting up 16 points.
Meanwhile, Winston Salem Christian National came tearing into Monday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Golden Bulls, posting a 91-61 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.
Winston Salem Christian National's win came from a few key players Lab University Prep National will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bradley Floyd, who put up 17 points. Another player making a difference was Nayte Spargo, who scored 15 points.
Lab University Prep National has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.9 points per game. As for Winston Salem Christian National, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Lab University Prep National and Winston Salem Christian National are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Lab University Prep National hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 83.2 points per game. However, it's not like Winston Salem Christian National struggles in that department as they've been averaging 78 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Lab University Prep National took a serious blow against Winston Salem Christian National in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 86-51. Can Lab University Prep National avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
