Riverdale Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boulder Panthers. The Ravens were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won  3-2.
 Riverdale Ridge wouldn't go down easily and took Boulder into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-23,  15-7.
 Despite the  loss, Riverdale Ridge had strong showings from  Hailey Davis, who  had 16  assists and nine  digs, and  Chloe Brady, who  had 14  digs.  Saige Lewellen also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Riverdale Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Boulder, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-13 record  this season.
 Riverdale Ridge will be taking part in a tournament against Pueblo Centennial  at 9:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Boulder does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
