The Pacifica Tritons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 61-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dos Pueblos. Pacifica has not had much luck with Dos Pueblos recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Pacifica lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaiah Dillon. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with seven assists and three steals. The contest was Dillon's 18th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Steven Pillado, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Pacifica bumped their record down to 7-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Dos Pueblos, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
Pacifica will face off against Rio Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rio Mesa has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Dos Pueblos, they will be playing at home against Oxnard at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oxnard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Dos Pueblos in California (Oxnard is ranked 144th, while Dos Pueblos is ranked 532nd).
