Berks Catholic is 9-1 against Tulpehocken since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Saints will host the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Berks Catholic 3.5, Tulpehocken 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Berks Catholic and Oley Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Saints came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lynx, sneaking past 3-2.

Mikey Fidler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Berks Catholic: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
Fidler wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Victor Mejia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Mejia's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Tulpehocken hadn't done well against Brandywine Heights Area recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Trojans' pitcher stepped up to hand the Bullets a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Jared Baer's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aidan Schwalm, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Aaron Wilson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Berks Catholic is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Tulpehocken, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Berks Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348. However, it's not like Tulpehocken struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Berks Catholic took their win against Tulpehocken in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
