The Marshall Mavericks''s game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They claimed a resounding 70-40 win over Nacogdoches on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Marshall's seven-point performance the game before.

Marshall's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Kaiden Rodgers and his two sacks.
Nacogdoches' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mikail Lockett, who threw for 464 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt, and Lajarian Leadon who picked up 206 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Leadon's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Another player making a difference was James Williams, who gained 88 total yards and a touchdown.
