Central Crossing's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison Whitney led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whitney has scored all season. Cheyenne Taylor was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Northland's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Central Crossing, their win bumped their record up to 7-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northland will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Linden-McKinley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Central Crossing, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Newark is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
