The Jackson Jaguars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 32-26 W over Villa Rica on Friday. The victory was just what Jackson needed coming off of a 66-6 loss in their prior contest.
Jackson can attribute much of their success to Rashad Harp, who threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Jaquavious Lewis, who picked up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Villa Rica lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaiden Terry. Despite the final result, he rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Villa Rica, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Tri-Cities at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Cities comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Villa Rica, they will be playing at home against Chapel Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
