If The Christel House at Manual Eagles were riding high off their 68-0 takedown of the Irvington Preparatory Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Christel House at Manual ended up on the wrong side of a tough 49-29 walloping at the hands of Eastern on Friday.
Eastern was led to victory by Brayden Jones and Nathan Mcbride. Jones rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, while Mcbride rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Another big playmaker for Eastern was Garrett Drury, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Eastern's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Caleb King and his two sacks.
Christel House at Manual's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Eastern, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-6.
Christel House at Manual does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eastern will be playing at home against Switzerland County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
