After flying high against Hampton Roads Academy last Tuesday, Norfolk Christian came back down to earth. The Norfolk Christian Ambassadors lost 3-0 to the Peninsula Catholic Knights on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Ambassadors seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
Norfolk Christian couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Peninsula Catholic a tough time in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-21, 33-31.
Gracie Simmons was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 12 digs and three aces.
Norfolk Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Peninsula Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
