After three games on the road, Summit Classical Christian School is heading back home. They will take on the Crosspoint Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Classical Christian School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Two weeks ago, 2024 welcomed Summit Classical Christian School with a 39-17 loss courtesy of Northwest Christian.
In what's become a running theme this season, Crosspoint gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Evergreen Lutheran 62-19 on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Crosspoint who now have four in a row.
Crosspoint found their leader in underclassman Momoyo Iwata, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Iwata has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Kuske, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Summit Classical Christian School's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Crosspoint, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.
