The Hollywood Hills Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Plantation on the road and fell 79-42. Hollywood Hills lost against Plantation in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-44 score last time.
Plantation's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daterrius Heller, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals. The game was Heller's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jabari Washington, who scored 23 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Hollywood Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Plantation, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hollywood Hills will challenge Miramar at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Plantation, they will head out on the road to face off against Monarch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
