Mid-Penn - Keystone recap September 10, 2013
Cedar Cliff scaled the state rankings by moving to 115 from 141 this week, the biggest jump in Mid-Penn - Keystone. The Colts climbed the ranks as a result of topping South Western 30-27.
Cedar Cliff and the Mustangs played the most contested game in the league this week, with Cedar Cliff eventually emerging with a 30-27 victory.
Mitchell Cooper was the best wideout in the league this week as Palmyra fell to Muhlenberg. Cooper tallied 12 receptions for 121 yards. Tyler Gallagher helped Palmyra's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 16 yards.
Jesse Campbell put up the best numbers in passing as Hershey bested Elizabethtown. He finished with a total of 4 completions for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns. Campbell's favorite target this week was Jailen Harmon, who caught 3 passes for 110 yards.
Dalton Yentsch was the most successful running back in Mid-Penn - Keystone this week. He ran for 132 yards on 22 carries as Lower Dauphin fell to the Muhls. Troy Spencer also contributed to the rushing game with 91 yards on the ground.
6-foot-3 quarterback Andrew Ford of Jim Cantafio's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 219. He has also thrown 4 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Cooper. The Palmyra star has 15 catches for 134 yards.
Palmyra fell to Muhlenberg 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Michael Lewis threw for 166 yards in the loss.
