Elk County Catholic and Clarion Area squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Elk County Catholic had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The Crusaders' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Elk County Catholic saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Frankie Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Elk County Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Clarion Area, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

As of now, neither Elk County Catholic nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
