Douglass came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 50-45 win over the Hooks Hornets. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Indians' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 319th, while the Hornets are ranked 112th).

Douglass' win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Hooks, their loss dropped their record down to 18-5.

Douglass is taking a road trip to challenge Saltillo at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hooks, they will welcome New Boston at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
