The Pettus Eagles lost against the Moulton Bobkatz back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pettus fell 52-44 to Moulton. Pettus has struggled against Moulton recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Pettus lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gabriel Hernandez, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Desmond Montoya, who scored ten points.
Pettus has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Moulton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
Pettus will be playing at home against Austwell-Tivoli at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Austwell-Tivoli knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Pettus likes a good challenge. Moulton's road trip will continue as they head out to face Runge at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Runge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
