The Princeton Tigers came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 64-58 win over Tecumseh. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Azaryon Wesley was her usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Raven Jones, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Princeton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Tecumseh, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Princeton will challenge Evansville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Evansville Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday. As for Tecumseh, they will head out on the road to challenge Pike Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pike Central is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
