When it comes to explaining why Oakwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jacee Youngblood. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds. Youngblood is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Rai'Miaya Winston, who scored 3 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Savoy, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Oakwood will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Cumberland Academy at 8:00 a.m. on December 9th. As for Savoy, they will face off against Big Sandy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
