Shikellamy hasn't had much luck against Williamsport recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Braves will head out on the road to challenge the Millionaires at 4:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Thursday, Shikellamy didn't have quite enough to beat Line Mountain and fell 9-8. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Justin Zeigler put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Chayse Snyder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Williamsport didn't have quite enough to beat Liberty on Saturday and fell 13-12. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (ten), the Millionaires still had to take the loss.
Williamsport got a massive performance out of Grant Vilello, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Vilello has become a key player for the Millionaires: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Camden March, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Shikellamy's record is now 2-7. As for Williamsport, their record now sits at 5-4.
Shikellamy might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Williamsport in their previous meeting on April 4th. Can the Braves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
