Seymour is 8-2 against Jeffersonville since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Owls will host the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. Seymour's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Jeffersonville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
It was a Battle of the Birds when Seymour took on Guerin Catholic on Saturday. The Owls narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Golden Eagles 9-8.
Taylor Stuckwisch made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Stuckwisch was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on EmmaKae Sweet, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Warren, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Seymour kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Jeffersonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Columbus East, falling 11-4.
Jeffersonville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Campbell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Ashlyn McClure also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Jeffersonville's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.
Jeffersonville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Seymour hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. It's a different story for Jeffersonville, though, as they've only averaged .238. Will they be able to contain Seymour's hitters?
