The Lake Buena Vista Vipers will challenge the Legacy Charter Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Buena Vista has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Lake Buena Vista saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dixson Gil, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases. Those four stolen bases gave Gil a new career-high. Justin Carlucci-Harris also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Legacy Charter). They put the hurt on City of Life Christian Academy with a sharp 21-4 victory on Friday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Kevin Barnard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off three hits. Barnard was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Legacy Charter let Lucas Pena and Ryan Rushing run wild. Pena scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Rushing scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. Rushing has become a key player for Legacy Charter: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chani Abreu, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Legacy Charter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Lake Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Legacy Charter, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lake Buena Vista has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Legacy Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Lake Buena Vista suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Legacy Charter in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will Lake Buena Vista have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
