Orange recap September 17, 2013
Anaheim scaled the state rankings by moving to 716 from 774 this week, the biggest jump in Orange. The Colonists were able to make move up by topping Santa Ana 48-12.
Katella and Costa Mesa played the most contested game in the league this week, with Katella eventually emerging with a 21-16 victory.
Golliath Gaddy was the best receiver in the league this week as Anaheim defeated the Saints. Gaddy racked up 4 receptions for 66 yards. Duran Sevastan helped Anaheim's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 49 yards.
Josh Tafoya was the most successful running back in Orange this week. He ran for 123 yards on 11 carries as Lanny Booher's team topped Santa Ana. Teammate Gilbert Garcia added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
Tafoya was a passing and rushing force as the Colonists beat Carl Swanstrom's team.
Magnolia fell to Buena Park 66-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
