The Seminole Seminoles will head out to take on the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Seminole barely beat Lake Mary the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Seminole blew past Lake Mary 19-1 on Friday. That looming 19-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Seminoles yet this season.
Ava Matthews made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Matthews was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Master's Academy on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won nine in a row.
Trinty DeVries spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Mount Dora Christian Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Presley Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Lily Bryant was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Seminole's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their record is now 11-4.
Seminole took their win against Mount Dora Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seminole since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
