The Madison-Grant Argylls were the 59-42 winner over the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Madison-Grant fell 51-40 to Alexandria-Monroe on Friday.
Several Argylls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mavrick Griffin, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Clayton Hull was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Madison-Grant's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Alexandria-Monroe, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison-Grant and Southwood will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Madison-Grant is ranked 344th, while Southwood is ranked 339th). As for Alexandria-Monroe, they will be playing at home against Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
