Football Recap: Wylie East Skates Past South Garland with Ease

Wylie East put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the South Garland Titans to the tune of 55-0. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Titans are ranked 956th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaiden McLemore, who threw for 249 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Utubor, who rushed for 56 yards and one score.

Wylie East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 275 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 219 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Wylie East's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for South Garland, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Wylie East has already played their next matchup, a 44-15 win against Naaman Forest on the 16th. As for South Garland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 34-10 loss against North Garland on the 17th.
