It was a good run, but the Lincoln Lynx unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 79-59 loss at the hands of Drummond. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (58), Lincoln still had to take the loss.
Lincoln's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kayden Riddle, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds, and Andrew Brown who scored 14 points along with six steals. Brown is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Roegun Dietz was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Lincoln's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-1. As for Drummond, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Victor on February 3rd. Lincoln is facing Victor at the right time seeing as Victor is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Drummond, they and Valley Christian will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Valley Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
