The third road game was the charm for the Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans, as they earned their first road win of the season. They were the clear victor by a 63-37 margin over Rushville. With that win, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.
Indianapolis Bishop Chatard's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alyx Kendall, who scored 11 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Berzai, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals.
Leonie Boyer and Gracie Buzzard certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Boyer scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds, while Buzzard scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. Boyer scored a full 43.2% of Rushville's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The win got Indianapolis Bishop Chatard back to even at 3-3. As for Rushville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard will challenge Heritage Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Heritage Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday. As for Rushville, they will head out on the road to face off against Whiteland at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
