Basketball Recap: Trinity Drops Season-High Score on Del Valle

Trinity scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 74-67 to the Del Valle Conquistadores. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquistadores apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Del Valle got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Nunez out in front who posted 16 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of MJ Herndon, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Trinity and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Del Valle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.

Trinity will welcome Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Del Valle, they will head out to take on Eastwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Devin Falk-Ramirez and Byan Mei.
