The Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the South Lyon East Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Plymouth Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Plymouth Christian Academy was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a run and slipped past Clawson 6-5.
Sophie Paryaski and Clara Groen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Paryaski kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Groen struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Paryaski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. At the plate, Paryaski went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Groen went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases Groen has posted over her last 12 games.

Meanwhile, South Lyon East fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Northville on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 4-3. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.
Like Plymouth Christian Academy, South Lyon East also got a great game from a two-way player: Chloe McPherson (2027). She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. McPherson (2027) was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, Olivia McPherson (2026) was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Plymouth Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for South Lyon East, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Plymouth Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like South Lyon East struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
