Singer has gone 8-2 against Starks recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Hornets will host the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Singer has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Singer came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 18-3 to Merryville. The defeat continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost three in a row.
Kohlson Moore made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.
20 must be Starks' lucky number: they beat LaGrange with that score not once but twice on Saturday. The Panthers beat the Gators by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 20-5. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Jude Stanley and Braden Holloway did most of the damage at the plate: Stanley got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Holloway got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Stanley has become a key player for Starks: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-4 otherwise. Austin Daniels was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Starks always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Starks is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Singer, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6-1.
Everything went Singer's way against Starks when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Singer made off with an 18-9 victory. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
