Webster Groves had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the MICDS Rams 2-1. The win continues a trend for the Statesmen in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won six in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Webster Groves got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 25-20.

Webster Groves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Belleville East on the 29th. As for MICDS, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Columbia on the 29th.
