Tri-County Conference recap October 8, 2013
Pioneer scaled the state rankings by moving to 705 from 731 this week, the biggest jump in Tri-County Conference. The Patriots were able to move up by topping Cordova 14-13.
River Valley took down Lindhurst 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Yuba City's Isaac Lessard and Devin Pettengill led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lessard has thrown for 724 yards this season, while Pettengill has 11 catches for 311 yards. The Falcons' TJ Dove leads the league in rushing yards with 820.
As it stands, the Honkers are in first, while Inderkum is in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when Yuba City and the Tigers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, John Ithuburn's team comes in having scored 197 this season, while Inderkum has scored 162.
Pioneer and the Lancers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Pioneer eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory.
