The Commerce Tigers and the Welch Wildcats will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Commerce was able to grind out a solid victory over Quapaw, taking the game 52-42.
Welch posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They put the hurt on South Coffeyville with a sharp 55-32 win.
Welch found their leader in underclassman Dakota Bidwell, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 0 assists. That's the first time this season that Bidwell scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Hardin, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Commerce's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Welch, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
