Softball Recap: Queen Creek Has No Trouble Against Basha

While Queen Creek put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Basha. Everything went the Queen Creek Bulldogs' way against the Basha Bears as the Queen Creek Bulldogs made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Queen Creek got a great performance from Aubrey Chavez as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits Chavez has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Charli Dixon was a standout: she fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Weekly, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Queen Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Queen Creek has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Basha's loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Coming up, Queen Creek will take on Mountain View in a tournament on Thursday. One thing working in Mountain View's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for Basha, they will challenge Desert Ridge at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
