The Eagle Valley Devils took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They breezed by Basalt at home to the tune of 72-19. With Eagle Valley ahead 46-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Eagle Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Mandeville led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Fitzsimmons, who scored 16 points.
Eagle Valley's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Basalt, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Eagle Valley will face off against Legend at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Basalt, they will take on Rifle at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
