After flying high against Alchesay  on Monday, St. Johns came back down to earth. The Redskins fell  3-1 to the Round Valley Elks on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Elks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-2  back in September.
 St. Johns was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Round Valley work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-16,  27-25.
 Round Valley can attribute much of their success to  Kylar Penrod, who  had 19  assists and ten  digs. Penrod is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 14 or more in each of the last three games she's  played.
St. Johns' loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Round Valley, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 22-8.
 St. Johns didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  win against Miami on the 23rd. As for Round Valley, they will welcome Alchesay  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Elks are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
