Trace Buechle's Big Game Leads Valentine over Mitchell
Starting off the list is Valentine's Trace Buechle, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Buechle threw for 166 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
The win (which was Valentine's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Buechle and Valentine will venture away from home to square off against Amherst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Rhodee Hill delivered a dominant performance on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Hershey. Hill turned in nothing short of a gem, making 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
If history really does repeat itself, Hill might just drop another big game when he faces off against Gordon-Rushville on Friday. When Hill last faced the Mustangs back in October of 2023, he picked up 0.5 sacks and made 15 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Hershey came up short on Friday despite Landon Kennicutt delivering his best game to date. Kennicutt made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Kearney Catholic Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jacob Bosshamer
Jacob Bosshamer's big game helped extend Kearney Catholic's winning streak to six on Friday. Gordon-Rushville had no answer to Bosshamer as he threw for 112 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
For the year, Bosshamer has thrown 13 touchdowns while averaging 168.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had five passing touchdowns.
