The Platt RVT Panthers had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 victory over Grasso Tech. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charis Johnson, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Stavesky, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Platt RVT will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lyman Hall is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Grasso Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against the Mighty Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windham RVT knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully the Eagles likes a good challenge.
