After a string of three wins, The Wilkinson County Warriors''s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 21-12 to Johnson County. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wilkinson County in their matchups with Johnson County: they've now lost seven in a row.
Although Wilkinson County took the loss, they still got scores from Quenterrion Sanford and Jeremiah Hill.
Wilkinson County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Johnson County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Wilkinson County will be playing in front of their home fans against Hancock Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hancock Central and Wilkinson County are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Johnson County, they will head out on the road to face off against Twiggs County at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Twiggs County comes in on a streak of failing to score more than six points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
