Even though The Tonasket Tigers scored an imposing 33 points on Friday, the Brewster Bears still came out on top. Brewster took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 69-33 win over Tonasket. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brewster.
Brewster was led to victory by Fabian Nava and Cole Aparicio. Nava rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while Aparicio gained 97 total yards and five touchdowns. Brady Wulf was another key contributor, throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes.
Brewster has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Tonasket, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Brewster will head out on the road to face off against Okanogan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Okanogan's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Tonasket, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lake Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Lake Roosevelt is ranked 234th, while Tonasket is ranked 253rd).
