Having just played yesterday, the Kingstree Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Burke Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on December 22nd. Kingstree is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
On Thursday, Kingstree's game was all tied up 28-28 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Calhoun Falls Charter 54-51.
Kingstree got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Micheal Kelly out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Mal'aki Matthews was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Burke came up short against North Charleston on Saturday and fell 54-47.
Kingstree's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Burke, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Everything went Kingstree's way against Burke in their previous matchup back in December of 2017 as Kingstree made off with a 61-39 win. Will Kingstree repeat their success, or does Burke have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
