Even though the Mooseheart Red Ramblers scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, the Unity Christian Academy Phoenix still came out on top. Unity Christian Academy slipped by Mooseheart 57-56. With that win, Unity Christian Academy brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Shamar Coleman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Unity Christian Academy's points. Donovan O'Neil was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Mooseheart lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tolu Erinolu, who scored 16 points. The game was Erinolu's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Niche Amos, who scored 14 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Unity Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-5. As for Mooseheart, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Unity Christian Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Morton Grove Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Morton Grove Academy will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Mooseheart, they will head out on the road to face off against Parkview Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Parkview Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
