The biggest upset of the week belonged to Chicopee Comp, who took down 177th ranked Amherst-Pelham Regional, 16-14.
The Colts moved up to 191 from 249 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban. Chicopee Comp climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Hurricanes 16-14.
Putnam Vo-Tech's Kajuan Bynum and Rishawn Harris have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bynum has thrown for 995 yards this season, while Harris, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 20 catches for 376 yards. T.J. Fitzell from South Hadley leads the league in rushing with 425 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Tigers take on Amherst-Pelham Regional. South Hadley's offense has racked up 197 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Glenn Jackson's team has allowed only 57 on the year.
A big matchup in Suburban this week will be when Eric Scammons' team takes on the Hurricanes. The Tigers are in first place, while Amherst-Pelham Regional is in fourth place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when South Hadley takes on the Hurricanes. The Tigers have allowed 78 points this season, while Amherst-Pelham Regional has given up 57. South Hadley allowed 15 points last week as it topped Chicopee.
The Beavers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cathedral, 50-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for Putnam Vo-Tech.
