Ten must be Bernie's lucky number: they beat Portageville with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Mules put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 10-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mules, who have now won 11 games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Bernie's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Portageville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.

Bernie has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 victory against Caruthersville on the 11th. As for Portageville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against East Prairie on the 12th.
